Appointments files, 1971-1978.

Correspondence, resumes, and letters of recommendation to the governor's office concerning requests of individuals wishing to be appointed to various state boards, commissions, and departments. A general file under the title "Talent Bank" exists for those applicants not requesting a specific position. Also included in this series are oaths of office; senate confirmation letters; file cards (showing dates of appointment and expiration), and check-off sheets (showing dates of oath, commission, and confirmation) of persons appointed to boards; files of two members of the governor's staff, Phil Lee and Terry Montgomery, who dealt extensively with appointments correspondence; and state board membership lists.
